COOPERATIVE CACHING OF CONTENT IN NDN SCENARIOS FOR VANET

S.I. Yakimenko, HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (HSE MIEM), department of electronic engineering, postgraduate; syakimenko@hse.ru

Y.A. Koucheryavy, HSE MIEM, department of electronic engineering, professor, Dr.Sci.(Tech.); ykoucheryavy@hse.ru

The paper is devoted to the issues of caching in Named Data Networking (NDN), aimed at addressing content by name and separating information from its producer node. In-network caching is one of the main features of NDN networks, turning them, in fact, into a network of interconnected caches capable of accumulating packets in the buffer of intermediate routers, as well as bring them closer to the consumer with the help of caching at the edge of the network. The effectiveness of a content caching system depends on many factors discussed in the paper: the popularity law and content replication strategy, cache size and cache eviction policies. For information distribution and caching at the edge router, we present an original algorithm that allows efficient caching of popular content, which outperforms traditional approaches in several metrics (cache hit, latency, etc.). Modeling of the performance of such an algorithm for the scenario of a vehicular ad-hoc network is performed in the ndnSIM network simulator.

Keywords: content caching, edge caching, named data networks, Che’s approximation.

A.A. Gaydamaka, Higher School of Economics (HSE), A.N. Tikhonov Institute of Electronics and Mathematics, postgraduate; agajdamaka@hse.ru

K.E. Samouylov, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University), head of the department of applied mathematics and probability theory, Dr.Sci.(Tech.); samuylov-ke@rudn.ru

The problems of organization, topology and connectivity support in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) swarms in the absence of GNSS signal and external infrastructure are investigated. We propose an algorithm for UAV swarm self-organization using virtual coordinates — replacement of geographic coordinates. Simulations demonstrate the similarity of physical and virtual topologies up to 90% in both static and dynamic cases.

Keywords: unmanned aerial vehicles, UAV swarms, topology organization, virtual coordinate system.

A.V. Seleznev, S.M. Budyonny’s MAC, research officer, Ph.D.; andrsel@mail.ru

After carrying out the general formulation of the problem of analyzing the characteristics of a two-channel queuing system with losses, the analysis of the distribution of the incomplete load time in the stationary mode, the density of the distribution of the wandering time in possible states, the transition probabilities between possible states, and the probability of the distribution of a random variable of time in a group of possible states is done. The results of the analysis of these main characteristics for a queuing system with losses allow, along with particular conclusions for each analyzed characteristic, to obtain a system-wide pattern in the form of a manifestation of the golden section in direct or indirect form, which allows in some cases to obtain more simplified mathematical models and partially unify them.

Keywords: queuing system, main characteristics, golden section.

A METHOD FOR SELECTING LOCATIONS FOR REDUNDANT EQUIPMENT IN PUBLIC COMMUNICATION NETWORK

A.V. Fedorov, Saint Petersburg branch of the M.I. Krivosheev Radio Research & Development Institute — LONIIR, head of engineering and technical department; a.fedorov@loniir.ru

А public communication network transfers part of its resources to a special-purpose communication network when extraordinary events occur. In addition, some technical facilities may be damaged in emergency situations, so the task arises of creating a reserve of telecommunications resources. The article proposes a method for selecting locations for backup equipment as part of a public communications network.

Keywords: public communication network, reserve equipment, special-purpose telecommunication network, reserve, quality of service, reliability.

N.V. Balykov, Povolzhskiy State University of Telecommunications and Informatics (PSUTI), vice-rector for project activities and digital development; n.balykov@psuti.ru

V.A. Ruzhnikov, PSUTI, rector, associate professor, Ph.D.; rv@psuti.ru

In the conditions of the sixth techno-economic paradigm, not just the use of information technology, but a complete restructuring of the company’s business processes through digital transformation is becoming more and more relevant. Various approaches were used to assess the digital maturity of an organization in order to understand the current situation. At the implementation stage of the digital transformation strategy, the question arises of evaluating the effectiveness of the conducted digital transformation, which requires the use of the opinions of experts, employees and consumers of products (services) of companies. These opinions are expressed in verbal, descriptive assessments of results, that are difficult to translate into the language of classical mathematics. The article proposes to use the mathematical apparatus of fuzzy logic and the linguistic variables that underlie it.

Keywords: digital transformation, information technology, university management, digital maturity, digital transformation efficiency, digital transformation efficiency assessment, fuzzy logic, linguistic variable.
