PRINCIPLES AND APPROACHES TO OVERCOMING THE CONCEPTUAL CRISIS IN ELECTROMAGNETIC SAFETY

As shown in previous articles of the authors, the existing state of electromagnetic safety of the Russian population can be characterized as a deep systemic crisis. Оn the basis of system analysis of the problem the directions of researches, which implementation will provide overcoming the crisis situation and creation of the electromagnetic safety system, corresponding to the modern level of technology and society development, are formulated. Developed research technical and organizational approaches are combined with state regulation.

The development of satellite communications as a component of social and production infrastructure of society has a direct and indirect impact on the socio-economic results of activity of economic entities, regions and population. The synergistic nature of the manifestation of socio-economic efficiency of satellite communication infrastructure projects dictates the necessity of development of methodical approaches to its assessment on the basis of externalities, consisting in the quantification of the impact of externalities of infrastructure development on the economy and society by the change of the gross domestic product.

RESOURCE DISTRIBUTION IN HETEROGENEOUS NETWORKS

In this paper we propose a new methodology for performance evaluation of 5G heterogeneous communication networks based on the queueing theory and stochastic geometry. The new classification allowing to define applicability of specific approaches is presented. The proposed methodology is illustrated on the example of picocells scenario, for which we obtained the stationary distribution, the expected number of sessions and the blocking probability.

THE CONCEPT OF PHANTOM USERS FOR THE RESEARCH OF HETEROGENEOUS NETWORKS

The new concept of phantom users for a research of heterogeneous communication networks is proposed. We show that a phantom user has zero effective throughput and its data rate corresponds to the distance to the serving base station. Based on the suggested concept of phantom users we deliver stationary distributions and transition intensities for LTE and integrated LTE/Wi-Fi systems.

M2M TRAFFIC CONCENTRATION MODELS AND EVALUATION OF ITS IMPACT ON QoS IN 5G NETWORKS

This paper presents the results of M2M traffic models analysis. We consider models introduced by 3GPP, which take in account specific of the M2M traffic and especially the traffic concentration in short time interval. We propose the model of aggregated traffic on the infinite time scale and models for the quality of service estimation for M2M and background traffic. The proposed models allow selecting adequate network resources corresponding to the expected traffic and QoS requirements.

SPECTRAL AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS WITH QUADRATURE AMPLITUDE MODULATION

The analysis of noise immunity of reception in a communication system of signals with QAM, in which Reed-Solomon’s (RS) error correcting codes are used, is performed. It is shown that in case of RS codes with a high code rate (Rc = 0,9), which reduce the specific message transmission rate provided by signals with QAM, the code length is relatively small, less than 1000 binary symbols. The implementation of demodulators for such codes
does not present significant technical complexity.

ESTIMATION OF THE BOUNDARIES OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL DOMINANT MULTIPATH REGIONS OF RADIO LINKS IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS

The paper is devoted to estimating the boundaries of three-dimensional dominant multipath regions of radio links. The concept of a dominant region of multipath is introduced by analogy with the concept of the dominant region of a radio link introduced in the classical theory of radio wave propagation. It is developed the technique that allows to estimate the radius of a circular platform within which the influence of scatterers at given ratio of energy due to the multipath of the scattered channels to the energy of the direct channel taking into account the soil moisture. Calculation of radius of the dominant multipathing area at operating frequencies in wireless sensor networks is performed.

RESEARCH OF TRAFFIC PROBABILITY CHARACTERISTICS USING NEURAL NETWORK APPROACH

The article is devoted to the classification of the laws of probabilistic traffic characteristics using neural network approach. The construction, training and testing of a neural network using Python programming language are performed when input vectors (signal samples) corresponding to different distribution laws are input to it. The possibilities of a neural network to classify input sample distributions for various types of the sample formation are considered.
