The article considers the problem of searching the optimal parameter values that define the structure of radio communication network (frequency bands, antenna suspension height, the values of the carrier frequency) by the criterion of maximum profit for a given density distribution of subscribers in the territory of the service area. The dependence of the difference between income and expenses on the size of the frequency band at optimal values of antenna suspension height, carrier frequency at given values of one-off and annual costs of the radio frequency spectrum (RFS) is investigated. The solution of the problem is based on the search for the extremum of these parameters by the criterion of the maximum profit of the operator. The dependences of the profit on the frequency band for optimal and fixed values of the number of base stations are obtained. The influence of the regulator on the operator’s profit and the optimal radio frequency band through the one-off and annual costs of the radio frequency spectrum is estimated.
Keywords: cost of the frequency band, radio network, LTE technology, cost of operation, techno-economic.

METHOD OF REDUCING THE LEVEL OF AN OUT-OFBAND SPECTRUM OF SIGNALS AND SIDE LOBES OF ANTENNA PATTERNS

M.A. Bykhovskiy, professor, Dr.Sci.(Tech.); bykhmark@gmail.com

A new method of the synthesis of window functions with the increased suppression of their side lobe level is proposed. The solution of such a problem allows the synthesis of discretionary signals of a certain duration, which are then used for a message transmission via communication channels with a minimum possible level of out-of-band components of the spectrum. The same method allows synthesizing directional patterns of antennas with low side lobes. It is shown how when designing a specific technical object one should choose the parameters of the window function in order to satisfy the requirements for the level of their side lobes.

Keywords: window functions, spectral analysis, time-and-frequency transformation, side lobe suppression.

ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION OF THE INFLUENCE OF RADIO INTERFERENCE ON THE RECEPTION QUALITY AT THE ADJUSTMENT OF RECEIVER SENSITIVITY

I.R. Mamedov, Azerbaijan Technical University, professor, Dr.Sci.(Tech.); isamamedov@bk.ru
G.A. Agaev, Azerbaijan national aerospace Agency, postgraduate; hidayat.aghayev@baktelecom.az

The crossing «counter» method is applied and the average number of signal bursts and mean residence time in the signal region at various signal amplitude distribution models are defined. An adaptive adjustment of receiver sensitivity for radio interference blocking is proposed. The expression for the efficiency of automatic amplification adjustment in the case of blocking of the single radio interference is found.
Keywords: probability density, crossing «counter», region residence time, distribution model, radio interference blocking.

A.E. Koucheryavy, The Bonch-Bruevich SPbSUT, head of the department of communication networks and data transmission, professor, Dr.Sc.(Tech.); akouch@mail.ru

Software Defined Network (SDN) is a new communication paradigm that represents a main enabling technology of the 5G systems. SDN introduces an efficient way to solve problems of traffic management and latency reduction. A new intelligent core network, based on the SDN technology, for 5G and tactile Internet systems is developed. The assessment of network productivity is carried out. An intelligent network core with a centralized controller and a multi-controller SDN network are modeled. To optimize the construction of network the salp swarm algorithm is proposed.
Keywords: software defined network, swarm algorithm, controller, SDN, 5G, intelligent network core.

ANALYSIS OF THE AVERAGE WAITING TIME IN THE QUEUING SYSTEM WHILE PROCESSING THE CORRELATED TRAFFIC

I.V. Kartashevskiy, PSUTI, department of software and management in technical systems, associate professor; ivk@psuti.ru
A.N. Volkov, SPbSUT, department of communication networks and data transmission, software engineer; artem. n@5glab.ru
R.V. Kirichek, SPbSUT, department of communication networks and data transmission, associate professor, Dr.Sci. (Tech.); kirichek@sut.ru

It is shown that the presence of correlation between the sequences of inter-arrival time and service time for general queuing system increases the average waiting time for the request in the queue in comparison with a case when the considered time intervals are independent. The calculation of the average waiting time for correlated traffic is based on the use of copula functions and rank correlation coefficients for the synthesis of two-dimensional probability density function. Calculations are carried out for data obtained experimentally on a software-defined network with simultaneous presence of video traffic and Internet-of-things traffic.
Keywords: correlated traffic, copula, rank correlation coefficient, average waiting time.

Method of evaluation of optical cables operability in a specified temperature range is presented. The method is based on calculation and analysis of the lower and upper limits of necessary range for a fiber excess in a cable taking into account the effect of the tensile force and high and/or low temperatures, both for separate and joint effects of these factors. The expression for the thermoelastic deformation of cable due to the difference of temperature coefficients of linear expansion of cable materials during heating (cooling) is received. The expression is valid for any number of structure layers (elements). Formulas for the analysis of cable operating characteristics, selection of cable parameters, including for its optimization are given.
