S.Yu. Pastukh, EMC Centre, Radio research and Development Institute, deputy director, Ph.D.; sup@niir.ru
A.A. Shurakhov, Radio research and Development Institute, head of laboratory; shurakhov@niir.ru

The critical issues raised during choosing and allocation of radio spectrum for the Internet of thing (IoT) development are considered. It is shown, that successful IoT implementation requires identification of radio spectrum for various IoT applications on the international and regional levels. Identification of spectrum should be done below 1 GHz within mobile service allocations (licensed spectrum) and also without strong connection with a radio service for unlicensed usage (i.e. based on not cause harmful interference to and not claim protection from harmful interference caused by the primary services). Classification of IoT applications for radio spectrum regulation purposes and general information on radio spectrum technologies used for implementation of different IoT applications are provided.

The paper presents research a new threat on the field of ubiquitous sensor networks — intentional electromagnetic interference. The results of this interference is the distortion of the transmitted information in USN, up to a complete stop data transmission and disrupted the structure of the network because failure of nodes. Presents the results of the analysis of the dependence of the parameters of network connectivity on the nature of electromagnetic influences. Based on analysis of the parameters of the USN can detect the source of electromagnetic interference. The obtained results can be used in the planning of flying ubiquitous sensor networks given the intentional electromagnetic interference and methods sources detection.

The clustering in the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is one of the most important investigation areas. There are many cluster head selection algorithms which were developed before today. These algorithms were developed to 2D and 3D spaces, WSN with fixed and mobile sensor nodes. The main goal of all of developed algorithms is the energy consumption decreasing and WSN life-time increasing. The new algorithms for clustering appeared during last time. These algorithms based on the idea of temporary cluster head using. The round length optimization and the impact of the temporary cluster head node moving on the network operation investigation in this paper.

One of the directions of development of the Internet of Things (IoT) is creation of ubiquitous sensor networks which basis are the self-organizing wireless networks. Their properties depend on a way of placement of knots and their behavior. One of the main characteristics is connectivity of a network which reflects possibility of rendering of services. Results of research of connectivity of the self-organizing wireless network at various ways of placement of knots are given in this work.
