Ensuring electromagnetic compatibility of UMTS and LTE networks with other radio services in Russia on the basis of non-standard methods

Today aren’t solved until the end of a problem on EMS for networks of the 3rd generation of UMTS, but there were new problems — for the LTE networks. Traditional approaches to ensuring electromagnetic compatibility of these networks, applied today, not always are capable to solve such problems effectively. It causes need of search of new non-standard methods for providing acceptable conditions on combination of networks of cellular communication with RES of other radio services. In article such methods in relation to the UMTS and LTE networks are considered.
Key words: electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), intra-system interference from adjacent cells, UMTS/HSPA+ (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System/High Speed Packet Access+), DC (Dual Carrier), DB (Dual Band), LTE (Long Term Evolution) LTE-Advanced, spectrum aggregation, Relay node.

The problems of cellular LTE networks development ranged 791−821/832−862 MHz in the Russian Federation

The issue examines the main problems of network development with LTE standards ranged of 800 MHz based on conditions of their co-operation in general frequency broadband with radio-electronic means (REM) for technical usage (navigation and radiolocation means). The directions of further investigations of electromagnetic compatibility area (EMC) under REM consideration and propositions of providing their co-operation had been determined.
Key words: cellular networks, mobile broadband access, LTE networks, IMT FDD technology, radiofrequency spectrum.

Analysis and synthesis of multicarrier signals

As of today OFDM has been the dominant technology for broadband multicarrier communications. However, in certain applications such as uplink of multiuser multicarrier systems, where a subset of subcarriers is allocated to each user, OFDM may be an undesirable solution. In this article, we address the shortcomings of OFDM in these and other applications and show that filter bank multicarrier (FBMC) can be more effective solution. The goal of this article is to bring this upcoming trend to the attention of the signal processing and communication community.
Key words: filterbanks, frequency analysis, orthogonal division, multiplexing, synthesis of multicarrier signals, spectrum and power efficiency.

MIMO system radio channel capacity in the condition of spatial fading correlation

For the practical use of technology MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) in radio communication systems spatial fading correlation is crucial factor. However, the main drawback in spatial fading correlation simulation is that the correlation is represented by a large number of parameters (different elements of the correlation matrix). In some papers compact models of spatial fading correlation were proposed. These results allowed simulation of MIMO systems with spatial fading correlation without explicit account of the structure of the antenna array. In this paper the impact of spatial fading correlation on the capacity of the radio channel of MIMO system is examined. The simulation results show that the capacity is reduced with the increase of the spatial fading correlation.
Key words: throughput capacity, spatial correlation, fading, MIMO, simulation.

Quality assessment of new intraframe wavelet compression algorithm

This paper considers quality assessment of decoded images obtained from output of a new algorithm, SPIHT algorithm and the standard JPEG2000. Analysis of the results shows that the visual quality of images compressed by developed algorithm is not inferior to JPEG2000.

Modified weight function

For the purpose of improvement filtering signal we have suggested to use the modified weight function (MWF), which distinguishes by uniform levels of the side lobes and lesser transaction pass band for task level of suppression for out band pass radiation. Some analytic equations are got for asked means of MWF which are function of suppression side lobes level and also an equations and digital significance which determine relation between the J.K. Kaiser «window» function and MWF.

Method and system of various form signals' generating in broad range of frequencies

The method of generating of stable modulated signals in broad range of carrying frequencies is developed. This method is based on digital synthesis of modulating signals and doesn’t superimpose restrictions on an intermediate frequency choice. The structure of multifunctional system of generating of signals of the various form in broad range of frequencies is synthesized.

Resource allocation for TCP transmission in dynamic TDMA Ad Hoc Networks

In this paper we present a resource allocation method for TCP transmission in dynamic TDMA multihop ad hoc networks. It adaptively changes the amount of resources allocated on each node based on their current utilization statistics. This algorithm allows to avoid entering into a contradiction with TCP policy which autonomously adapts flow intensity on the transmitter side. We validate the proposed method and evaluate its performance under various conditions using ns-3 simulator. The results demonstrate that method allows to effectively utilize network resources and provide fairness between different TCP streams within a network.
Key words: аd hoc networks, Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA), TCP.
