BEAM HOPPING TECHNOLOGY IMPLEMENTATION ACCORDING DVB-S2X ANNEX E STANDARD FOR NEW GENERATION VSAT NETWORKS

A.A. Zaharov, FSBI NIIR, deputy director general, associate professor, ph.D.; A.Zaharov@niir.ru

M.V. Lavrentyev, FSBI NIIR, senior engineer; lavrentev@niir.ru

K.M. Volgatkin, FSBI NIIR, head of laboratory; 026-v@niir.ru

The article provides an overview of the implementation of the basic principles of beam hopping technology implemented within the DVB-S2X Annex E standard. Scenarios for the application of this technology, primarily for satellites operating in geostationary orbits, are considered, although it is beginning to be widely used for non-geostationary satellites. The article analyzes the traditional approach using classic DVB-S2/S2X frames and describes its shortcomings for the implementation of beam hopping. The concept of superframes (Annex E) is considered, which makes it possible to adapt the DVB-S2X standard for beam hopping. Various formats and operating modes of superframes are described for the implementation of various beam hopping options.

Keywords: satellite communication, beam hopping, multibeam satellite, HTS, VSAT, DVB-S2, DVB-S2X, Annex E.

NOISE IMMUNITY, PROTECTION RATIOS AND OVERLOAD THRESHOLDS OF TV BROADCASTING SYSTEMS UNDER THE INTERFERENCE OF LTE-450 NETWORKS

A.A. Mochenov, FSBI NIIR, deputy head of a laboratory; mochenov@niir.ru

The article presents the results of experimental studies on the determination of protection ratios and overload thresholds for digital DVB-T2 and analogue K/SECAM TV broadcasting systems for the scenario of interference impact of signals of LTE base stations in the frequency range 450−470 MHz. The characteristics of noise immunity of television receivers are investigated. A method is proposed to increase the noise immunity of TV receivers when using a band pass filter that provides attenuation of the interference signal of the LTE base station.

G.S. Artemyeva, Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics, department of the digital economy, management and business technologies, associate professor, Ph.D.; artemieva-g-s@yandex.ru

The results of the analysis of the features of the current stage of the life cycle of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), carried out on the basis of an approach based on the tools of the Greiner’s growth model and the model of structural-logical analysis, are presented. It is shown that the ITU is in the fifth phase of its development, which has led to a crisis of attrition, complicated by unresolved problems that led to crises of control and mistrust in the past, as well as the newly emerging political and economic conditions in the world.

Keywoards: International Telecommunication Union, Greiner’s growth model, organization life cycle, phases, stages of development, crises, structural-logical analysis method, problem graph.

MASKING OF RADAR RADIATION FROM ELECTRONIC INTELLIGENCE USING A BUILT-IN NOISE GENERATOR

A.M. Volkov, MAI, department of theoretical radio engineering, postgraduate; afv92@yandex.ru

A variant of noise masking of the radiation of a radar facility using a built-in noise generator is considered. Formula relations are derived for calculating the ratio of the power of the noise and probing pulses at the output of the radar transmitter. The effect of noise masking the radiation of the radar facility on the radar range is estimated.

O.A. Shmonin, UNN, department of statistical radiophysics and mobile communication systems, postgraduate; olgsh6@yandex.ru

The problem of two-dimensional direction finding in azimuth and elevation in an automotive radar of the telecommunications system of the advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) is considered. A group of algorithms for measuring the second angular coordinate using a flat antenna array of a MIMO radar is proposed. The minimum polynomial method (MPM) of the correlation matrix is used to measure angular coordinates. This method has super-resolution properties and works efficiently under a small number of signal samples. This method allows you to adaptively estimate the number of radiation sources. A target decorrelation algorithm is used, which increases the accuracy of elevation angle estimation. The performed numerical simulation showed the high efficiency of the proposed signal processing methods.
