FUTURE NETWORKS AND THEIR STANDARDIZATION

  • V.A. Netes, Moscow Technical University of Communication and Informatics, department of communication networks and switching systems, professor, Dr.Sci.(Tech.); v.a.netes@mtuci.ru

Keywords: future networks, standardization, ITU, ISO/IEC, QWERTY-effect, Russian standard.

The activity of the ITU and the Joint Technical Committee 1 on information technology, formed by ISO and IEC, on the development of the concept of future networks is considered. The new areas developed by ITU have been characterized: trust provisioning in info-communication technologies and information-centric (data-aware) networking. Explanations are offered for the difference between the ITU and ISO/IEC approaches. The reasons why we can talk about the more realistic approach of the ITU are given. The Russian national standard of future networks is also analyzed.

NETWORK GATEWAY FOR NAMED DATA NETWORKS

  • M.A. Blinnikov, Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications, department of communication networks and data transmission, postgraduate; michael.blinnikov@gmail.com
  • R.Ya. Pirmagomedov, Tampere University, researcher, Ph.D.; prya.spb@gmail.com

Keywords: named data networks, data propagation modeling, heterogeneous networks.

A brief overview of packet transmission in named data networks (NDN) is given. A model of data distribution in NDN networks has been developed. It is based on the dependence of the probability of the presence of certain data at a node on their popularity, traffic transmission intensity in the network, the size of the Content Store, and the density of the network segment under consideration. It has been performed the analysis of the features of the future development of named data networks and the need to create a gateway between devices operating in accordance with two different network architectures. The algorithm of IP/NDN gateway operation is proposed, which ensures the joint operability of the elements of two network architectures.

GEOMETRICAL LOSSES IN ATMOSPHERIC OPTICAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS

  • E.R. Milyutin, Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications, professor, Dr.Sci.(Tech.); mma@spbgasu.ru

Keywords: atmospheric optical systems, geometrical losses, geometrical attenuation.

Geometrical losses in atmospheric optical systems in free space are analyzed. Estimates of losses in a turbulent medium are given.

MONITORING AND CERTIFICATION OF FIBER-OPTIC INFRASTRUCTURE BASED ON INTERFEROMETRIC MEASUREMENTS

Keywords: telecom operators, resource management, fiber-optic infrastructure, monitoring and certification system, interferometric methods, database.

The article shows the complication of the process of fiber-optic infrastructure management due to the growth of network connectivity, the increase in the number of elements of the communication system, and the growth of quantitative and qualitative indicators of the optical cable. When the control object is complicated, it is required to increase the volume of reliable information to characterize its current state. At all levels of management of measurement results, it is proposed to use tools that implement interferometric methods and their consolidation into a single base, the structure of which is justified in the article. The proposed solution is aimed at increasing the efficiency of making an adequate decision on infrastructure management at all levels of management.

OPTIMIZATION OF DISTRIBUTED STRUCTURES OF ATMOSPHERIC OPTICAL COMMUNICATION NETWORK

Keywords: atmosphere, communication network, parallel structure, optimization, transfer capacity, signal attenuation.

The problems of optimization of the distributed structure of atmospheric laser communication network are considered. The problem of optimization of distributed atmospheric optical communication network containing one transmitting and n receiving nodes is formulated and solved. The formula determining the relation between beam divergence at the input of receiving points and the distance between these points and transmitter is obtained. Technical implementation of this formula brings to a minimum of total attenuation in the system, provided that other factors potentially causing signal attenuation are unchanged.

HTS FOR RUSSIA

  • B.A. Lokshin, Russian Satellite Communications Company, chief of the department for advances structural developments, Ph.D.; blokshin@rscc.ru

Keywords: high-throughput satellite, HTS, multi-beam coverage, frequency reuse, redistribution of the capacity among beams.

We propose for implementation of a Ku-band communication satellite with a multi-beam configuration and frequency reuse technology, having a data throughput, which is several times higher than that of traditional Ku-band satellites. The technical aspects of constructing the payload and specific features of these satellites' application in communication networks are considered.

BUSINESS ASSESSMENT OF «SMART CITY» COMMUNICATION INFRASTRUCTURE

Keywords: cloud RAN, constructive model, economic feasibility, evaluation algorithm.

Any model must be adequate and constructive, i.e. ensure its efficient and purposeful use, including for the analysis of criticality to changes in the parameters of the simulated system. The cumbersome and inflexible financial Excel constructions used in many companies in marketing calculations do not allow the investor to make quickly decisions about the economic feasibility of the project. An algorithm that simplifies this task in relation to cloud RAN radio modules is proposed.

SIMULATION MEASUREMENT OF CONDUCTIVE INTERFERENCE

  • A.M. Sazhnev, Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Informatics (SibSUTIS), department of radio engineering devices, associate professor, Ph.D.; epus201@sibsutis.ru
  • L.G. Rogulina, SibSUTIS, department of radio engineering devices, professor, Dr.Sci.(Tech.); rogulina_59@mail.ru

Keywords: model, conduction disturbance, simulation measurement, over voltage protection.

A model of simulation tests of an electronic device in a modern software environment based on domestic components has been developed. Simulation tests of a 24 V voltage converter with an output current of 1.4 A, a switching frequency of 20 kHz, and a rectifier device with an output voltage of 48 V, a load current of 28 A were carried out. The frequency dependences of conductive interference levels were obtained and their compliance with the standards was evaluated.

It is shown that in the computer-based automated test bench, unlike traditional approaches, the importance of software increases. An overview of existing solutions for testing air traffic control (ATC) transponders is provided. It is concluded that it is necessary to refine the automated measuring bench for testing the airborne traffic collision avoidance systems (TCAS) to assess the parameters of ATC transponders at the stages of their development and certification under the guideline DO-181E. Software requirements are formed. The results of the practical implementation of an automated measuring stand are presented.
